About Us

Muslim Ummah of North America (MUNA) is a faith based religious and social organization, established in 1990. Over the past three decades, MUNA has expanded its’ activities across the United States. MUNA offers unique programs and services that seek to improve the individual, family and the greater society by imparting Islamic knowledge, promoting social service, engaging in community activism, and much more.

Over the years, MUNA has evolved into a nationally recognized grassroots organization. The organization is empowered by a unique emphasis focused on personal development of individuals through a comprehensive Islamic education and active involvement in communities across the country by providing opportunities for social service, interfaith initiatives, youth programs, and community development.

وَٱعْتَصِمُوا۟ بِحَبْلِ ٱللَّهِ جَمِيعًۭا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا۟ ۚ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنتُمْ أَعْدَآءًۭ فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم بِنِعْمَتِهِۦٓ إِخْوَٰنًۭا وَكُنتُمْ عَلَىٰ شَفَا حُفْرَةٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ فَأَنقَذَكُم مِّنْهَا ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ ١٠٣

Surah Ali-Imran - 103
And hold firmly together to the rope of Allah1 and do not be divided. Remember Allah’s favour upon you when you were enemies, then He united your hearts, so you—by His grace—became brothers. And you were at the brink of a fiery pit and He saved you from it. This is how Allah makes His revelations "clear to you, so that you may be ˹rightly˺ guided."
